Aurora Realtor elected to head state association

Meg Hudson of Aurora was elected as the 2011 president of the Ohio Association of Realtors (OAR) during the organization’s 100th Annual Convention Sept. 12-15, in Cincinnati.

On the local level, Hudson served as president of the Portage County Association of Realtors in 2000 and was honored as its “Realtor of the Year” in 1998 and again in 2010.

On the state level, Hudson served as OAR District Vice President in 2002-2003 and has chaired numerous committees including Communications, MLS Forum, Residential Property Management Forum and Strategic Planning.  She has served as an OAR director since 1996.  She currently serves on OAR’s Executive Committee and as chairman of its Finance Committee.  Additionally, she was honored as OAR’s 2010 “Realtor of the Year.”

Nationally, Hudson serves as a director of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Additionally, she has served as a member of its Communications and Housing Needs Committees.

Additionally, Hudson holds the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) and SFR (Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource) designations of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Civically, she is a member of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and was honored as its “Citizen of the Year” in 1996; Aurora Housing Advisory Council; Aurora Housing Board; graduate, Leadership Portage County; trustee, Aurora Conservation Council Moebius Nature Center; and Aurora Tree Commission.

Meg, and her husband, Lenny, have a daughter and son, and reside in Aurora.

Elected to the post of president-elect was Robert U. Miller of Dublin and to the office of treasurer, Tom Williams of Canfield.
