TWINSBURG, OH (WOIO)- A recycling plant worker injured in a flash fire has been upgraded to fair condition at MetroHealth Hospital.

Darrell Hornyak was life-flighted Wednesday morning after being hurt at Reserve Alloys on Highland Road.

Two other workers were transported to Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg for observation only.

Fire officials tell 19 Action News the employees were working with a metal grinding machine when the fire started.

Fire officials also say there have been other fires at the plant, and they are investigating to see if the same machine was involved.

Reserve Alloys is one of the largest recyclers of aluminum in the United States.
