In 2011, nearly half of high school students 16 and older reported texting while driving in a large national survey. Teens who reported texting while driving also were more likely to behave in other risky ways. They were five times more likely than those who did not text while driving to operate a car when they had been drinking alcohol. And those who texted more often were much more likely to skip wearing a seat belt.

Solon Police investigate attempt abduction

SOLON, OH (WOIO)- Police are investigating the attempt abduction of a 17-year-old female.

It happened on Tuesday, April 30 around 10:13 p.m. in the 34000 block of Park East in Solon.
Officers say the teenager was standing outside the door of her apartment, when a man tried to pull her by the arm.
She was able to escape by screaming and striking him with keys.
The suspect had a yellow shirt over his face, showing  only his eyes.
